Beverages:

In hot summer if you drink a shake or eat an ice cream,its just awesome!But to make it healthy,try these instead.Very yummy and very very healthy.So beat the heat with these shakes and other beverages!

 Going Bananas!

(this recipe makes 3 servings)

Kids love this smooth, creamy shake! Garnish well with cocktails!

  • 2 medium bananas
  • 2 cups  soymilk (can be vanilla flavor)
  • ½ cup  oats (or ordinary)
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup (optional)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 5–6 ice cube

Combine all ingredients in a blender. Process until completely smooth, 2 to 3 minutes. Serve immediately. Make a cocktail with banana slices if needed cut in shapes.

 

Orange Blush
(The recipe shown gives 2 servings)

1 orange, peeled
1 cup frozen banana chunks(freeze it immediately after cutting)
1 cup frozen pineapple chunks(skin removed)
1/2–1 cup soy

Cut orange in half and remove all seeds. Place it in a blender along with remaining ingredients and blend on high speed until thick and smooth.

 

Bluerush :

(This recipe makes upto 3 to 4 cups)

According to the amount of soy milk you add , you can make this smoothie thick or thin. Either way, it’s a delicious way to enjoy the benefits of blueberries.

1 cup frozen blueberries
1 cup frozen banana chunks(freeze immediately after cutting)
1-1/2-3 cups fortified  soymilk ,1/4 cup apple juice concentrate

Vanilla essence-2 tbsp

Place all ingredients into blender. Process on high speed until smooth, 2 to 3 minutes, stopping blender occasionally to move unblended fruit to the center with a spatula. Serve immediately.

Frozen Farm:

 Makes about 3 cups

This mix of all fruits gives you a great feeling of being healthy and also having a yummy shake.Always remember to use your own kitchen in summer than any company's because it gives you the pleasure of cooking!

1 orange (preferably navel), peeled
1 cup frozen banana chunks
1 cup frozen mango chunks
1/2-1 cup fortified soymilk or rice milk

Cut orange in half and remove any seeds. Place in a blender with banana, mango, and milk. Blend until thick and very smooth, 2 to 3 minutes. Serve immediately without storing.

 

Fresh tender coconut:

Make 1-2 servings.

This yummy  awesome drink is very much famous in India.It is very simple and very healthy.In India,people substitute colddrinks for this.

1 tender coconut,

2 teaspoons of jaggery syrup,

Crushed ice-as needed.

Add jaggery syrup in tender coconut and also crushed ice if needed.Serve chilled.
